               A REVIEW OF THE 2010 TROPICAL CYCLONE SEASON

                         FOR THE NORTHERN HEMISPHERE


     Following is a tabular summary of all the tropical depressions,
  tropical storms, hurricanes, and typhoons which occurred in the
  Northern Hemisphere between 1 January and 31 December 2010, as
  reported in the Monthly Global Tropical Cyclone Summaries prepared
  by Gary Padgett.

  (1) Roger Edson expressed a very firm feeling that Laila was 
     considerably more intense than any of the agencies were estimating.
     Based on an integrated MI and Dvorak technique, Roger estimates that
     Laila's intensity around 18/1200 UTC was around 90 to 105 kts 
     (1-min avg).
