Will open a thread now.
Storms have recently fired up over southwest Kansas. The risk for tornadoes increases through the evening with strengthening low-level jet and lower LCLs.
Risk for strong or violent tornadoes tomorrow:
SPC ...
OUTBREAK OF SVR TSTMS -- INCLUDING CONDITIONAL POTENTIAL FOR
STRONG-VIOLENT TORNADOES -- WILL AFFECT PORTIONS E-CENTRAL/SERN
CONUS.
Everyone knows where to access data so I'll leave it at that.

Well, it's happening.
AT 723 PM CST...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR AND STORM
SPOTTERS WERE TRACKING A LARGE TORNADO NEAR KINKCAID IN SOUTHEAST
ANDERSON COUNTY. THIS TORNADO WILL CROSS INTO EXTREME SOUTHWEST LINN

AND PLEASANTON BY 800 PM CST.
THIS IS AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND LIFE THREATENING SITUATION. THIS

IN THE PATH OF THIS TORNADO...TAKE COVER IMMEDIATELY!

Spotters in Linn Co. report a wedge tornado near Mound City -- the parent storm is an absolute beast of a supercell and is about to cross into Missouri.
-

Unfortunately there have been considerable fatalities in Alabama today. Up to 18 dead including 14 kids at a school in Enterprise, Alabama when the building collapsed.
Currently there are T warnings in far north-western Florida and western Georgia.

I watched the ABC 33-40 live streaming video of the Alabama storms today. Interesting to follow their coverage. They even had a helicopter airborne giving reports. Fun job being the pilot eh!
They often have archives of these links - can one be placed here?

Kansas city experienced an F4 (first ever F4) tornado on Feb28 during the night. wind speeds estimated to be 166-200mph. I do have a photo of it but system won't let me upload it - there is a short video on YouTube of the tornado - a bit of obscenity in the video so just to warn our younger members.

My meteorologist friend and storm chaser captured the growth of that EF4 tornado In Kansas on video! It's on YouTube and runs for just over 5 minutes. Well worth a look at this beast, great footage.
