Title: Help required based on hailstorm research
Post by: albreen on 28 October 2009, 05:32:27 PM
Hi Guys, I was wondering if you could help me out.

Im an Engineering student from Aberdeen, Scotland and I am looking for information on weather conditions preceding thunder strorms in Australia for a project i am working on, specificaly for hail storms.
I am looking for things like the average ambient humidity, temperature and pressure as well as the conditions before the storms form.
any help you could give me with this would be fantastic even if its just a point in the right direction.

Thanks
Alan

Hi Alan,

Maybe have a read through some of these threads:

Conditions Resulting in Thunderstorms (http://www.australiasevereweather.com/forum/general-weather-all-topics-that-are-not-current-severe-weather-should-be-posted-here/conditions-resulting-in-thunderstorms/)

Australian storm conditions (http://forum.weatherzone.com.au/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=005228;p=1)

though you may not find specific info such as the variables you listed.
