Title: Storm Chasing Partner
Post by: Clayton on 17 December 2009, 03:16:12 AM
Hey

My name is Clayton Buckland I am 17 and getting my P's on the 23rd of December 2009.
I live in Tyalgum which is located in the Northern Rivers
I love storm chasing and wanting to become a meteorologist.
Only problem is my family and friends aren't into storms let alone chasing.
I have an High Def camera, laptop and a car (that is ready for storm chasing)
Also I can supply money for fuel and whatever else is needed on the trip.

So I am wondering if anyone out there is looking for a storm chasing partner
who is enthusiastic and willing to travel whenever and wherever.

Hi Clayton,

The best way is to meet some other people first as it's hard to become a chase partner withour really knowing the other person. See if you can get along to the next Brisbane ASWA meeting. I know you use Weatherzone forums too - there is another chaser at Murwillumbah I think but can't recall his name.

Hey Michael

Thanks for that. When is the next meeting and I was going to to join ASWA this weekend or next week some time.
Is it a good group to join if you love storm chasing.

The next one is likely to be towards the end of January - which doesn't really help for now. You don't have to be a member to attend. Keep on eye on the Weatherzone forum events section.

Can arrange to pick you up on the way if needed.

Hey Michael

Thanks for the offer.

If you could find out who it is in Murwillumbah that storm chasers, I would most likely know them.

So that would be great if you could find out who they are.

Thanks for the help
