Million dollar art theft in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney

At some time between Saturday 7th August and Tuesday 10th August a total of 18 artworks worth more than $1.5 million dollars were stolen from a property in New Beach Road in Darling Point. Various artworks include paintings and sketches by Pro Hart, David Boyd, John Perceval, Arthur Streeton and Norman Lindsay. Detectives from Rose Bay Police could not comment on whether the artworks were being offered for sale on the international markets.
