From the sounds of it there has been some severe flash flooding in the areas around Eudunda and so on with about 50mm of rain in 2 hours this afternoon. I realise we won't get many updates on this event as there is nobody active on the forum from that region. But it is still worth recording.
Had a facebook update from a friend there that the roads were cut and water in her front room.

Just got of the Bereau website. We got a severe storm warning over Melbourne. The warning noted storms are slow moving so it looks like we can expect some heavy rain and flash flooding this afternoon and evening.

More warnings for Melbourne district. Severe Storms have been detected on radar near Pakenham and Epping. Storms are moving south to south east. Warnings also noted the largest storms will produce large hail.

Rather than just posting warnings, would you like to indicate the date and times of this warning and if anything was observed. I assume slow moving thunderstorms would have meant heavy rainfall.

So i was just standing in the front yard watching a storm moving southwest from Epping area and looks like it will pass overhead in about 10 15 minutes. Radar is showing some heavy rain roughly 10 to 30mm an hour. Should be decent. I will keep an eye out and let you know how bad it gets once it has passed

So it passed over in about half an hour. We had about 25mm and there is a little bit of flash flooding in some side streets. For good measure a little toyota corolla tried to drive through and stalled. My legs are a little wet helping the driver get out of shallow water. Forecast is for some showers overnight heavy at times. Im gonna leave a can out in the front yard and see how much rain we get overnight.

The BoM issued 6 separate detailed warnings for flash flooding in the Greater Melbourne area yesterday afternoon.
Radar accumulation shows a number of suburbs did receive over 50mm, though the only 50+ rainfall on the flood page I could find was 54mm at Scoresby.
