Video of Canton, OK Tornado Intercept

Here is the video from our deployment on the strong Canton, OK tornado from yesterday, which was the first intercept of a tornado with Dominator 2.  We designed this vehicle to be able to withstand stronger tornadoes, and the winds from this tornado were likely the most intense we have ever experienced during an intercept.  Our new spike system stabilized the vehicle substantially, and the thicker armor and Lexan windows held up very well to the flying debris.  We launched six parachute probes inside this tornado, and are still working to recover them.  The plan after chasing today's outbreak is to walk the damage path in search of these probes, since the data is invaluable to our research.  Sadly, several communities were once again damaged in the tornado outbreak yesterday, and with yet another tornado outbreak likely today, residents in MO, AR, IL need to stay tuned to severe weather warnings and have a safety plan in place.
