Was a great chase on Saturday, and surprisingly my first in the Darling Downs region of SE QLD. 3 hours of rain from Lismore area to Toowoomba broke to an interesting afternoon, though activity was later in the day, and not as strong as the models were tipping. Rodney and I meeting up with the other chasers made it a very fun afternoon
Interesting feature to the north of Dalby - I think this is part of the stronger cell that headed to Kingaroy
Storm just about to hit Dalby, it became quite CG active around this time.
The following pics are from a location about 30km SE of Dalby. Amazing sunbeam lighting up a hill.
Beautiful sunset lit shelf cloud approached from the WSW
Another cell to the SE - Marty got some awesome CGs here
Flanking line at dusk - lightning didn't last long when it got dark unfortunately.
