The Australian Severe Weather Bushfire Appeal The events of the bushfires that have devastated Victoria have shocked the nation – the images of helplessness have numbed every person I know. By the end of the February 7 2009, many townships were wiped by a 'tsunami of fire' – a firestorm of proportions never seen in Australia's history. The images of people caught in their cars attempting to escape the inferno well never leave our minds. We
personally feel helpless and in disbelief. The victims, their families and friends are in need of assistance. Beyond the human cost which currently stands at 181 and may top 300, well over 1000 homes and businesses have been guttered by the flames. The disaster itself will easily enter into the billions of dollars in terms of damage.
We at Australian Severe Weather
http://www.australiasevereweather.com wish to do whatever we can to use our resources to assist these victims. For every sale we make from our DVD and photography collection, we are donating 30% of proceeds to the Red Cross Appeal. Our collection are custom produced DVDs of spectacular storms from Australia and Tornado Alley – feel free to browse the link for more information:
