For people in the
Flinders,
Northeast Pastoral and parts of the
Northwest Pastoral districts.
Issued at 5:50 pm Saturday, 15 August 2009.
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Marla, Coober Pedy, Roxby Downs and Leigh Creek.
A thunderstorm near Coober Pedy produced a wind gust to 93 km/h at 3 pm.
The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Secure or put away loose items around your property.
* Move cars under cover or away from trees.
* Keep clear of fallen power lines.
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while storms are nearby.
The next warning is due to be issued by 8:50 pm.

I think the windy conditions will reach VIC very soon, if they haven't already started to arrive.
And thunder is forecast in Melbourne tomorrow - so I might get some pics to share by Monday.
