I thought this merited a thread given the significance of this rainfall. The past three months have been Melbourne's dryest in recorded history, with unbelievably pathetic rainfall. We recieved nothing of the storms that hit mansfield the other day, however today was a significant change. The trough system and forecast cut-off low have brought convective showers/storms to the state, and in my excitement I decided to take a few pictures. Ill have them up as soon as I work out how to upload from my digi SLR.
Note: don't expect anything spectacular, im still trying to learn how to use the camera, and the storms weren't exactly that special.
Edit: Michael would you be able to look into grabbing the latest loop of melbourne doppler, very interesting looking storm down near Wonthaggi.
