Hi from Melbourne, been very busy and forgot to post these pics but now that i've remebered and i've got some quiet time! so here are pics of my chase on the 1st Jan north of Melbourne.

These are shots taken on the afternoon and evening of Jan 1st beginning with mammatus south of Whittlesea, then lightning shots taken amidst the bushfire ravaged areas around Kinglake, particularly the Heidelberg Kinglake road. It was a surreal experience chasing and photographing lightning active storms through near deserted bushfire areas enshrouded at times by thick CG illuminated fog in warm new years conditions! Enjoy the pics.

hmmm June 2nd......

A clip here of a possible tornado at Mt Ousley near Wollongong on 2nd Jan:

Twister on Mt Ousley

As I was going up the pass today I noted that there is a slight damage path - one large white cedar is down, but it looked old and was covered in vines, however in a line to the N/NW there are several other smaller trees showing tops looped off - nothing major, but enough to pick if you look hard enough.
