Hi,

For those that do not mind a plug in the future, watch Thursday. Models are indicating that rapid development will occur as a cold pool will pass across the Sydney region. It is anticipated the most favourable time for intensification will be the late night period based on the GFS 00Z run this evening. Steep 700-500 lapse rates (known as h7-h5 lapse rates) of the order of of 19 to 20C should be watched particularly in the central coast of NSW. A more favourable outcome would be for this detabilisation to occur several hours earlier.
