Some great photos in next year's edition...might have to get a copy.

Edit: Hmmm sales are suppose to begin today but the website is saying no new orders. Either they have run out really fast or forgotten to click the button to activate it.

Managed to get an order in but the process seemed strange. After having no luck with new orders I clicked on existing orders which is supposed to duplicate last years order (which I didn't make). The whole process looked like I was paying $20 to have a change of address until the final confirmation email. The ordering website design obviously has big problems! But anyway, it is ordered so happy enough.

I received a free copy during the week (being a rainfall observer) and it's a nice collection of images - certainly better than this years.

If anyone is looking for a lightning photo calendar I've been testing the options at various websites and found Red Bubble do a good job. They've only just started allowing them to be sold to the public (rather than just to the calendar creator).   Check it out here:

The quality is very good.

Some very nice pics there Michael, though it's not as cheap as it would have been a month or two back when the Pacific Peso was worth something!

Now if we can just get some nighttime storms here I might be able to try some shots myself!

Some really beautiful photos in the BOM calendar.
The May pic with the fog reminds me just how cold and shivery winter will be next year when we move back over to the Riverina.
Also love the lightning calendar, stunning shots!

My only concern with the BoM calendar was the image for March - actually - the caption for the image for March.

The caption states "A storm front crosses Cable Beach, Broome, north-west Western Australia, 16 March 2008, 4pm".

The image is actually showing the anvil of a storm spreading out about 15km (est.) above the surface....hardly a "storm front" crossing Cable Beach.  The only impact it would have on Cable Beach is that it casts a large shadow.
