Gold Coast Storms April 2007
« on: 14 September 2007, 09:03:47 AM »
not a bad effort for a camera phone but the date in my display pic is wrong,
its saying 4/01/06 when,
it was actually the end of april 07 with a nice system out in the hinterland that just skirted the southport region of the broadwater that we were moored in thankfully.
We did get hit a couple of nights later by a minor but scary thunderstorm while we were in the runawaybay area the only pic i have of that night is the greenback tailor i caught just as the barrometric pressure was changing lol.Anyone else with pics on those storms?

Have you got a bigger version of the photo we can view ?

I missed most of the storms April 19-22 being on holidays in Tas, though saw this on the 22nd after getting home that arvo.

I hope these pics help i just had to resize them as they were too big too post.
I am just spewin that i didn't get any pics of the lightning when a storm actually hit as i was on top deck of the boat watching lightning hitting less than 50metres away from the boat while i was drinking grrrrrr i realised that my camera was inside and by the time i grabbed it the storm had moved beyond sight.

oops having a major blonde moment!!! Didn't mean to post 2 of the same pics up still getting used to the way you put stuff up in this forum here is one last pic for ya had to do a real close crop of this one in order to make it the right size for this forum for those who want the full size un-edited versions i would be happy to email them to you.

MB Edit - just fixed up the file sizes - good idea to make the photos about 1000 pixels wide or less. ta :)
