Please use this space to note anything you have information about road closures and extensive delays on road works. This will be often helpful in saving time or saving a whole chase. Despite the links below, please indicate any information you know on this forum thread. If it is no longer valid, moderators may delete the relevant posts. When supplying information please try specifying:

- Name of the road(s) affected
- Date(s) of Road Closures
- Expected time period of road closures - eg 1 day, indefinite
- Perhaps indicate alternative routes if such exist - you may have a good map showing such roads or it may be supplied with the information

The NSW Roads and Traffic Authority website has live traffic reports

http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/trafficreports/index.html

I have heard others refer to this site quite often once snow starts to accumulate, or accidents occur. It also shows planned traffic delays due to roadworks etc

Brisbane

Road/Street: Shafston Avenue and Story Bridge between Mobray Park and Brisbane CBD
Lanes open: 2 both ways
Reason for closure: North South Bypass tunnel construction
Reaopening: opening other lanes around 2010

Dont try going over the Story bridge in the afternoon, evening if you want storm footage. Its
just to congested.

Other suitable locations: Mount Gravatt Hill off Logan Road @ Mount Gravatt Central
Holland Park Hill on Bapuame Road off Nursery Road @ roundabout before freeway
Greenslopes Hill on Chatsworth Road off Logan Road @ AMF Bowling Greenslopes
Victoria Bridge crossing the river to the city

Hope that helps
