Tornado doco trailer
« on: 20 December 2007, 09:07:45 AM »
http://tornadovideos.net has a trailer video from a chase documentary that is to be shown on cable in the US states - the trailer video is just awesome.  Upturned cars, destroyed housing areas and lots of great footage in this snippet.  Well worth a look.  Their attitude is somewhat extreme they do capture some nice footage.  It's not something that i would condone people do as far as attitudes go, but you can't avoid chasers doing it for themselves.  Some adult language in the video....

Took a look at the doco trailer, it would be good to have some of our Aussie blokes doing something of the kind for Australian TV!

Well, the hick banjo music seems to fit the chasers anyway! Can anyone see Deliverance playing in the background :-)

Wonder if SBS or someone will pick it up to show locally?

A lot of the stuff seen in the US is for their cable network.  With the hundreds of channels to choose, one chase event must make one of the channels!  Some of the docos I've seen snippets for from the US do make it to the Discovery Channel - perhaps in the near future if it comes here....although those blokes did have a point, they chase for themselves and that's it.  Obviously no sponsorships there and theyare intending to get right into the danger zones to capture some self-glorification - getting killed will be a bonus from what they intend on doing!  Madness and not something akin to actually doing some positives research, data wise.  Just drive smack bang into the tornado and get some dollars for your efforts - a bit reckless in my view.
