Storm chaser must have!

Check this site out!  They sell something called the Twister Tube.  This gizmo is so cool, it even has lightning (strobe light effect)  http://www.twistertube.com/

When you visit the site click on demo and you'll get the variations.  Quite a imaginative idea that some bright spark thought of.  Apparently it starts of with a 'cloud base', forms a wall cloud and then drops a funnel.  I gotta get me one of those....

Oh man, how cool is that?
A backlit tornado in a jar lol! What a neat idea! I'll definitely add one of those to the "must have" wish list! Now why didn't I think of that?

Shauno

Sells for just over $100US but on special for $99.  With our dollar strong at the moment it might be a case of buy now!  It's something you could switch on during the months where we get no storms or in fact when the boring weather is around.  One could even use it as an education aid when discussing the weather and tornadoes over dinner!  Pity they didn't have a switch to alter between EF1 and EF5 and then rope out!

I have vague memories of seeing something similar ages ago. But still fun!

Yes there was a dainty device I once had. It was called a pet tornado. If you shake the container in a particular way, it used to produce its own tornadoes. fascinating!

Personally Pete,

I like the larger moterised version. You can set the speed and it creates anything from funnels to stove pipes to wedges:) When I tried to get it last time, others got the last ones.
