Giant hail - take a look for yourself
« on: 23 February 2008, 03:51:07 PM »
I was doing the search around and I came across these gorilla hailstones:

The damage to cars were quite - well they were totalled!

Ummm  I just realised, the front windshield has a hole in it - look closely.

Jimmy D,

The hailstorm (and possible F1 tornado) that hit Melbourne's eastern suburbs of Croydon, Mooroolbark, and Mt Evelyn (1982 or 1983), had giant hail, from vivid memory - I was at school in Mt Evelyn when it hit - the stones were larger than baseballs - the largest live stones I have ever seen (even the Rolling Stones - lol).

Big Pete.
