Preparing for Chase Season 2010!
With the "official" start of storm season just around the corner, now is a great time for chasers to get equipment in order and finish off-season chase-related projects. Veteran storm chaser and TVN Live streamer Verne Carlson has dedicated the last few months to preparing his Subaru Outback for the 2010 season, making several modifications to prevent giant hail from ever sidelining him from another chase! Back on June 5th, 2009, Verne was in southern Wyoming in his brand new Outback and found himself in the core of the La Grange storm, essentially unable to move for a time in order to keep his windshield intact. Although he did get one of the tornadoes from that storm, his chase was severely derailed by the gorilla hail falling around him, and Verne was not especially happy about missing the tornadoes that followed. So, he decided to get pro-active, and has subsequently outfitted his ride with double-layer laminate on the glass surfaces and coated the body with Rhino Lining! I think it's safe to say that Verne will not be parking under any trees or awnings during intense hail again! For more, visit the Facebook fanpage for The Rhino!
Speaking of Rhino Linings, the Dominator just recently received a coat as well! Check out the latest video, below!
