Tornado in Hungary
« on: 23 May 2008, 09:23:14 PM »
Hi All !

I'm newbie here, from the other part of the world, from Central-Europe. :)

I love all the severe phenomenons, lightnings, heavy rains, thounderstorms...These can be occured here more often in the last years.

Tornado is very rare here, but on the 20th May a tornado has happened in the middle of Hungary. Together with it, severe hail and rain.
Tornado was not that strong like in the US...

Here is a report:

Hi Robi,

Thanks for posting those shots. The YouTube video clip on http://www.szupercella.hu/ is very impressive. Very rapid rotation of the storm base and tornado.

Are there any photos which show the wall cloud structure and tornado as depicted in the video clip ?
