Leo - those shots of mine were just taken from home - was not able to chase as such. Great to see your perspective of it all - some interesting structure.

Kane, that's a great panorama view of the thunderstorm.

Been some more storms around this afternoon with 11mm recorded so far. Had 19mm to 9am. A couple of close CGs hit out the front during heavy rain about 8.30pm. It was too infrequent to capture any on camera.

Great composition in those latter shots.  I like the lighthouse ( is that what it is?) and the BW format - the pano with the full storm in view is really neat.  Well done!

A report from Guyra Argus reporter Martha:

Quote
I was driving back from Armidale around 6pm (Thurs 28th Aug) in quite heavy rain and around 10km south of Guyra ran into the tail end of a huge hail storm. The highway was covered to a depth of at least 10cm, maybe more. This hail was very localised and lasted for about 3km along the highway. It was quite scary with a lot of B Doubles and other huge trucks travelling south -couldn't see the road for several metres when they went past.

Couple of intense storms on the Darling Downs at the moment which the BOM issued a warning (and since cancelled).
