Hi,

There is a potent environment for strong to violent long tracked tornadoes over the Tennessee Valley. Storms are already breaking out and tornado warnings are in place. Although the previous day seemed to entrain a little too much dry air within the dry slot, this system is better matched for a good combination of moisture, deep layer shear, instability as well as a focus for development of multiple discrete cells let alone the extremely rapid destabilisation. Northern Alabama was my target region.

Already one 4.25" hail report - the potential is for some deadly tornadoes given the increase in population density towards the eastern parts of the US.

Two particularly dangerous situation tornado watches in effect! Tornado reports are already coming in and there are numerous storms developing in Tennessee

Hail larger than tennis balls reported as well as the tornadoes. Major populated area affected is Nashville Tennessee. Columbus is in the path of several storms, as well as Huntsville Alabama.

Hi,

It seems the tornado outbreak continues into the night with more tornado watches issued and some reissued further southeast. A Particularly Dangerous Situation (PDS) Watch is in effect over the Alabama region.

10 deaths have been reported thus far - tragic.
