Tulsa, Oklahoma Storm May 25
« on: 28 May 2006, 06:23:11 PM »

Observed a storm near Tulsa, Oklahoma, May 25th. We watched this cloud go up from Turkey stage and it literally exploded. A treat to watch such intense convection.
The storm developed a number of small lowerings.  It suddenly fizzled after about 2 hours.   :o

Nice shot! All storms were high based.

We let this region go and went to the Twister museum and then chased storms near Woodward and southern Kansas. Some very nice structures - not all on photographs - but definitely on video.

I cannot get over the extreme lapse rates that occur here.
