Interesting event shaping up for eastern nsw over the next couple of days. The bureau have damaging winds in warnings and local Terry Hills radar has a SSE rain band streaming in well into the mountains edging slowly towered Sydney. We'll see what unfolds.

Sydney (Observatory Hill) and some other coastal suburbs have now cracked 200mm for the event - the rain started about 6pm on Tuesday 19th July. I've been surprised the BoM did not issue a severe weather warning for flash flooding atsome stage. There was one for damaging winds early on, and another for damaging surf which is still current.

Snow was a highlight for many parts of the Tablelands from the Illawarra to the Northern Tablelands during Tuesday. The best falls appear to have been the usual locations west of the Blue Mountains.

Obviously a very coastal event - we have had about 50mm in total here at Schofields. However, up until last night, the rain was consistent!
