Fire crews prevent Voyagers Point bush fire from threatening property.

</font></strong></span><span>At 3.00pm the NSW Fire Brigade and NSW Rural Fire Service were deployed to areas surrounding Voyager's Point in Sydney's South West. A 3rd alarm non-structure fire was called and resources were rapidly deployed to prevent the bush fire from spreading.</span></p><p><span>Fire crews were on standby at a nearby nursing home as a precaution, with further strike crews surrounding the eastern side of Voyagers Point and Heathcote Rd. The Air Wing was brought in to tackle the blaze due the remoteness and inaccessibility of the area.</span></p><p><span>Three water bombing aircraft were utilised in addition to the logistical support of FIREAIR1. Another 30 or so emergency vehicles from all agencies were deployed across the area.</span></p><span>Due to the quick actions of all agencies, the fire never had a chance of spreading. </span><span>The fire was contained to around 6 hectares and is being closely monitored by the Rural Fire Service.  No property damage occoured during the incident.
