Slovenia supercell event 25.05.2009

Hello :)

The whole Europe can agree that this year weather in may is just crazy.
In Slovenia we allready had several severe storms, but the peak was today with a strong supercell hailstorm.

The start of this years season is realy severe.
I will try to gather more photos or even an analyse of the event ;)

Great photos, thanks for sharing. It would be great if you could do a bit of analysis of this event.

I read on storm track that a quite powerful supercell effected parts of France and Belgium. That a look at the size of the hail-

This supposedly happened around 2-4am!!

Not sure if I have the time right there. Those are for 18Z which is night time there I believe. Anyway, extreme CAPE with decent deep layer shear were present over NE France and Belgium.

With the sort of parameters posted by Michael, then you would not be surprised with the outcome of possibly even larger hailstones in the surrounding area! Enjoy the season guys!
