Did you manage any shots of the Crawlers or CG's at all? The turbulent base and updraft features would've made for some great composure in the shots!

Hi Shaun,
none of those nice fanning out anvil crawlers were seen from my location.
it is worthy to note that this storm system increased in activity as it crossed over the nthrn beaches
area and went offshore. A workmate that lives in the Dee Why area commented on how active the storm
was as it passed over.
I also noted from home that I could still see the clouds being lit up well after 2100EST, several hours after
it passed over home. I almost went driving to Macquarie shopping centre roof carpark to take some pix.
To answer your questions Jimmy .... just several brief periods ( really brief! ~5-10 mins at a time) of mod-heavy
rain here in Ryde. I havent heard of any hail reports, not even by the nthrn beaches workmate. No significant wind
to report either.
