Late April 2007 storms North Coast NSW

Couldn't find a thread for the recent storms we have had in NSW and so have created this to post some images. All are from Coffs Harbour.

Quite an impressive bunch of storms - a late burst for April! Do you know if any severe weather occurred in these areas or were most off the coast?

Hi Kane,  you sure got a nice show in the Coffs area. I vaguely recall some distant lightning flashes last night (23rd) from here.  It was quite active on Sunday afternoon and evening though. Luckily got to see those after returning from Tas, but not very photogenic from my location - was too tired to chase.

Hi

Although, over the last week or so there has been a bit of thuderstorm activity, although we haven't got even a half a millimetre of rain from them.
The photos below look similar to the photos Cane took. These are taken in Amridale, I not sure what day exactly, but I think it might have been on the 20th.
Today (25th) A storm just missed here. I didn't see any lightning, but heard a fair few cracks of thunder.

Hey Kane, some very impressive lightning from that storm.  Really nice to look at and very different to what we get up here.  Strong lightning like that is a good indication of strong upraughts and good cell development - very nice indeed!
