Looking good on the radar at the moment a nice squall line is forming. The worst thing now is the low clouds are so thick at the moment that you cannot even take pictures. O well at least we will hear the thunder!

Some good storms have formed in Southeast QLD with severe storm warnings being issued for many locations, I have just read  reports of strong winds with one person  from Warwick saying that their kids trampoline has just be blown down the paddock. 2-3cm hail has been reported.

Some IC lightning at present with a severe cell moving in our direction.

Pity it looks as if the action has died off a bit though.

I note there's plenty of action and development south of Brisbane, but the further north you go, the more diluted it is. Despite this, there's been almost constant lightning and thunder for the last hour.

Currently 27.6C here with a humid northerly blowing. I hope the change comes through soon as conditions are quite uncomfortable.

Hey

I worked it out

Also what does everyone think of tommorow
The cape looks great and the dew point is in the low 20s around the Warick area at 4pm.
So if all stay good and the shear is reasonable it could be a good day for a chase

I went to Grafton today the Back way from Coffs. I intercepted the developing line pretty much 5 mins ahead of it in Grafton after core punching it around Glenreigh. It was High based and messy but got a bit better again near Junction Hill juat north of Grafton. Here I saw some massive pulsing flangs then got a barrage of marble hail for a few mins. I left it here as I needed to be at a friends Bday dinner. Was a fun little trip  ;D

That was one mighty storm that just passed. Some early reports of damage and I am  now waiting for confirmation to the extent of it . The IC and CGS were absolutely amazing. I have taken a couple hundred photos and just sorting through them, I have to download Irfan again to re-size the photos. I will  post a couple of the good ones when I am finished.

Cheers

Got some photos of the back end of the Murwillumbah storm getting it's act together this afternoon from near Kyogle.

Finally the line that developed down near Grafton moved it's way north over Goonellabah putting out the odd nice CG along the way. This one looking towards Mcleans Ridges from Tregeagle

Hey

Some nice pics the Muriwllumbah storm was a good storm it arrived just as I finished school and then my bus had to drive through the middle of it through hail and all.

So is anybody going to be chasing tommorrow?
And if so where?

It looks like Warick could have some late storms due to high cape and a small cap with low 20 dewpoint

Hopefully someone will have some more faith on where to go

Some nice pics there guys, great cloud formation and James that is a nice lightning shot. Will be up for a week in early December at Brisbane then Coffs if things go to plan so hopefully I can get some nice north coast storm action as well.

Hey everyone

Today is lookin good with cape in the high 2000s and dps in the low 20s all with a small cap at Warick
Only problem is the low wind shear. But as we know form the 5th that you can get a good storm with low shear.

Is anybody else thinking of chasing today?
I am thinking of heading to Warick but would like to know where everone else thinks the action will be
as this is only my 2nd storm chase

Thanks Richary. I missed the first 3 all in between shots so nice to get one finally! Hopefully there will be some big storms when your up here.

I like the looks of today moreso than yesterday thanks to the SE'er pumping moisture inland overnight. Tenterfield - Inglewood - Warwick triangle would be my pick so far. Shear isn't too bad up there - sure a bit more strength would be nice (and a stronger jetstream) but what's there is enough for some severe storm organisation. The upper levels have dried out a bit too from yesterday so good chance of large hail. Hopefully some nice 'Downs' monsters are on the cards.

Today didn't really turn out but tommorrow has higher cape, better shear and higher dew point.

What does everyone else think about tommorrow?
