Theres  line of storms developing on the range where low moisture is. Armidale just recorded strong wind gusts over 70km/hr from the storm cell went through there. Not much on coastal plains yet but could be in for midnight stuff!

December 7 2009

I feel kinda bad to be posting more lightning shots, esspecially when people like shaun are dying for a good storm. Some more lighting active cells develoment just on dark and came over Coffs. Again they were high based and dry.

All these were taking with 30 second exspsures. Mike the lighting I photographed the other night was the same all the bolts happend at the same time :). I had to clone out some power lines which are still kinda visible unfortunelty.

Hi Kane,

Don't feel too bad lol. BRING THEM ON! I always love seeing amazing weather photos  ;D

My time will come soon enough. And hey.. I need the inspiration to keep me going

What happened with the second one? Did the tripod drop or slip?

Take care,
Shauno

<sigh> I guess you can thank me for those Kane - I left Coffs Harbour yesterday morning to drive back to Sydney. Why couldn't work have waited one more day for me to come back south? Awesome shots though, and looked like a nice one just south of Woolgoolga tonight on the radar.

Your lightning is quite impressive for 30 second time frames - just insane amounts of strikes within that period!  Enjoying them immensly
