Partial Lunar Eclipse : 26 June 2010

hello all well last night was great firstly in the evening a nice red sunset and now last night there was a partial eclipse.
the next eclipse will be in December 21 2010

Yes heard that it was going to be on. Always had interest in the moon and planetary events.

enter your year of choice and the eclipses solar and lunar will be shown in full detail. this year in December 21st is the next full lunar eclipse and in 2012 in Cairns there will be a solar eclipse.

I tried some shots from Sydney, either the white part was overexposed trying to get the darker side and so on. But came up with a reasonable pic.

Thats a nice shot compared to mine with a cheapo camera. good job.

yes i can not wait until the December i think 21st and hopefully it is going to be a clear night the hole way. does anyone know the time frame of when the eclipse will be visible in Eastern OZ at all?

Unfortunately the total phase of the eclipse will end about 10 minutes before the moon rises in Sydney that day, so by the time it gets dark enough to get photos it will be getting bright again.
