A developing tropical depression at 988 hPa was located near 16.6S 147.4E and is
moving slowly west and expected near the coast at 010300 utc.   

AREA AFFECTED
Area bounded by 15.5S 145E to 15.5s 147e to 18S 148 to 19.2S 154E to 22S 155.5E
to 22S 150E to 19S 147E to 15.5S 145E. 

FORECAST
S/SE winds at 34/40 knots with very rough seas.

Within 60 nautical miles of the centre, and extending over to an area bounded by
15.5S 148E to 18S 149E to 21S 155E to 21S 149E to 19S 146E to 15.5S 145E to
15.5S 148E.

Clockwise winds near the centre to 40 knots.  Southeast to easterly winds to 40
knots elsewhere.  Very rough seas on a moderate southeast swell.
