A developing tropical depression at 988 hPa was located near 16.6S 147.4E and is moving slowly west and expected near the coast at 010300 utc. AREA AFFECTED Area bounded by 15.5S 145E to 15.5s 147e to 18S 148 to 19.2S 154E to 22S 155.5E to 22S 150E to 19S 147E to 15.5S 145E. FORECAST S/SE winds at 34/40 knots with very rough seas.
